Vivek Rescued In Iowa After Getting Stuck On Snowy Road

Republican Vivek Ramaswamy vowed not to let the snow stop his campaign blitz across Iowa, but nature had other ideas. Ramaswamy posted on X, the former Twitter platform, at around three in the morning on Tuesday, claiming to have been stuck in a ditch following a five-hour drive from northwest Iowa into Des Moines.

Ramaswamy’s SUV was able to be pushed out with the help of a “good Iowan,” according to the post.

The first event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Ramaswamy tweeted around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, saying, “It now appears effectively impossible to get from Des Moines to Coralville for our first event. We will postpone our visit to Coralville & will make sure we return there again before the caucus.” At 8 a.m., he posted an updated schedule.

In addition, after becoming stranded in Sioux City, Ramaswamy turned to his spouse, Apoorva Ramaswamy, to lead a campaign event on Monday in Warren County. Meanwhile, rival candidate Nikki Haley postponed at least one event on Monday, and former President Donald Trump postponed other surrogate appearances on Monday and Tuesday.
